Carla Cárdenas
Lawyer
Trained in the United States and Ecuador, with more than 18 years of experience in forestry and environmental law. She currently works at Forest Trends and is part of the International Board of Directors of the Forest Stewardship Council. She has worked on forest governance projects, REDD+, FLEGT, community monitoring, climate change mitigation in projects with IUCN, IDB, INWENT, GIZ, FAO. She has also held public positions, such as Undersecretary of Natural Heritage of the Ministry of Environment of Ecuador and Secretary Rapporteur of the Commission of Autonomous Governments of the National Assembly.

He is a University Professor, has held positions as Legal Advisor in the National Environmental Authority, Legal Consultant.
