Our institution bases its activities on the broad experience of its members and associated professionals, and has carried out the following activities

Consultancy "Capacity building of AMCP actors involved in the administrative and criminal law enforcement chain to enforce the law and sanction offenders".

2022

Objetive

Strengthen and update the knowledge of key actors involved in law enforcement procedures on administrative infractions and environmental crimes committed in marine and coastal protected areas, with emphasis on public servants from MAATE.

Consultancy to develop a National Governance Model for REDD+ in Ecuador.

2021 – 2022

Objetive

Develop a national governance model for REDD+, through a solid and participatory process that links the national REDD+ technical team and has its implementation and institutionalization strategy.

Develop a Strategic Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for the PROAmazon program and the Payment by Results project. Develop an Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) for the PROAmazon Program and the Payment by Results project with a comprehensive vision to address both initiatives, each with its own particularities.

2019 - 2020

Objetive

Establish the necessary links with the SIS to ensure the provision of information from the implementation of the PMAS of the PROAmazon Program and the Payment by Results project.

Objetives

1) Conduct a feasibility study for the constitution and implementation of the Sustainable Development Fund of the province of Napo. 2) Establish the Sustainable Development Fund for the province of Napo and the Trust Fund for its operation and administration. 3) Implement pilot actions of the Sustainable Development Fund of Napo Province under the Trust.

Design of a strategy agreed with government authorities to reduce deforestation and pressure on the forest, based on Ecuador's policies and legal framework for forests, protected areas and indigenous territories.

Objetive

Design the agreed Strategy as a Management Model proposal, with a practical execution character, built by consensus by the relevant stakeholders, and based on a political and legal framework consistent with the national context and that guarantees respect for rights, which provides it with formality (recognition, support and empowerment by the different authorities) and sustainability (validity and implementation in the long term).

Delimitation of protected areas

Objetive

Effectively and without affecting the institutional image of the Ministry of the Environment, contribute to the resolution of social and legal conflicts in the protected areas selected by the SNAP Support Program, through training and methodological-technical accompaniment ("coaching"), thus facilitating and supporting the process of delimitation and demarcation in critical areas.

Design and implementation of a virtual course on Law, Forests and Climate Change, with emphasis on REDD+.

Objetive

To develop a virtual course aimed at forestry professionals in order to contextualize the international regulatory and political framework applicable to the REDD+ mechanism and the early initiatives developed in the countries of the Andean-Amazon region.

Objetive

Improve forest law enforcement at the level of the Attorney General's Office, Regional Districts of the Ministry of Environment, Criminal Judges, Police and Military.

Objetive

Joint and participatory analysis of the situation of forests in the constitutional project of Ecuador and as a result of which several recommendations were made to the National Constituent Assembly.

Coordination, design and implementation of the Dialogue Process "Analysis of the contribution of forest contribution of forestry legislation to the achievement of the Millennium Development Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)" at the Latin American level.

Objetive

Evaluate the contribution of the sector and related legislation to the fulfillment of the global millennium goals.

This process was carried out in Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile, Brazil. It counted on the participation and support of the World Conservation Union - IUCN, the Regional Program ECOBONAINTERCOOPERACCION, INWENT (currently GIZ), and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations - FAO.
